Key Responsibilities
Interpret and implement Industrial Ship Safety Manual (NAVSEA 8010) requirements into INACT planning and execution.
Develop fire safety inputs for Availability Work Packages (AWP) and ensure integration into execution plans.
Analyze shipbuilder fire safety plans and validate compliance with contractual and Navy requirements.
Provide fire safety guidance to SUPSHIPNN, PMS 368, NAVSEA 08, TYCOM, and project stakeholders.
Support technical instruction reconciliation and provide recommendations to improve fire safety execution.
Review Cost Data Sheets and contract inputs related to fire safety implementation.
Develop procedures, strategies, and MOAs to mitigate fire risk during inactivation.
Participate in technical and programmatic meetings to drive fire safety integration across the project lifecycle.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to support Statement of Work requirements.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
10+ years aircraft carrier maintenance, shipyard, or industrial safety experience
Direct experience with NAVSEA 8010 or equivalent fire safety programs
Preferred Qualifications
Prior DC / HT enlisted or DCA / CHENG officer experience
Federal Fire or industrial fire response experience
Former US Navy CPO, CWO, or LDO
Project or Program Management experience
Experience with SUPSHIP, NAVSEA, RMC, or TYCOM
